1. Tuition, Student Service & Other Fees

Tuition Fees for Undergraduate students (enrolled in degree programs, or as independent students) who are Canadian or have Permanent Resident (Landed Immigrant) status:

Québec residents † $ 55.61 per credit
Non-Québec residents ‡ $ 163.79 per credit
† The Government of Québec sets the rules for determining residency. Please contact the Office of the Registrar (514-848-2424 Ext. 2668) for more information.
‡ The non-Québec resident rate includes a $108.18 per credit premium that must be collected for the Government of Québec.
NOTE: Non-Québec residents following certain programs in the French Language, French Literature or Québec Studies may be exempt from paying this premium. Please refer to the 2006-2007 Undergraduate Calendar, Section §19.3, article 8 for a list of programs for which an exemption may be granted. These are the same programs from which International students may be exempted from paying the International student premium.

The total tuition fee assessed per credit includes a premium, which must be collected for the Government of Québec. The premium will be assessed on the basis of the government financial sector of a course as follows:
Arts (mostly Fine Arts), Sciences pures, Sciences appliquées
(includes Government premium of $332 per credit)
$ 387.61 per credit
Administration, Sciences humaines, Éducation, Lettres
(includes Government premium of $292 per credit)
$ 347.61 per credit
* Certain International students may be eligible to pay the same fees as Canadian students. International students following certain programs in the French Language, French Literature or Québec Studies may be exempt from paying this premium. Please refer to the 2006-2007 Undergraduate Calendar, Section §19.3, article 8 for a list of programs for which an exemption may be granted.

 

Student Service Fee $ 9.73 per credit

 

Recreation & Athletics Fee $ 2.77 per credit

 

Permanent Code Penalty $ 332.00 per credit

Effective Fall 2000, all registered Québec university students for whom the University received funding must have a "permanent code" which is issued by the Québec Ministry of Education. Students who do not have a Permanent Code must submit a form and supporting documentation to the Office of the Registrar. If the required documents are not submitted within the prescribed deadline(s), students will be charged an additional $332 per credit of tuition. Administrative Fee $ 9.00 per credit

Students in financial need may apply for an Administrative Fee Bursary. Applications for the Administrative Fee Bursary are submitted on-line through the student portal at www.MyConcordia.ca – go to the Financial pagelet, select Financial Aid & Awards, select Web Applications, select New Application, select Administrative Fee Bursary and complete the on-line application form.
